Biomass heating

Applications:

  • Biomass stove space heaters are fuelled by logs or pellets: generally 6-12 kW output. Provide water heating when fitted with a back boiler. (When considering a log-fired room heater it is very important that you choose a high efficiency model, otherwise you will be releasing unburnt particulates and gases into the atmosphere.)
  • Biomass boilers connected to central heating & hot water systems. Suitable for pellets, logs or chips. Output 15 kW+.

Payback: 4 years + Savings: Save up to 70% of heating costs

  • Ideal for heating domestic properties and larger buildings / groups of buildings.
  • Harness a range of natural resources including: energy crops and trees, untreated wood wastes and residues and crop residues.
  • Fuel handling, logistics and infrastructure need to be considered, always remeber to ask your supplier where the fuel has come from - it needs to be local to be 'renewable'.
  • Ideal for off gas properties.

Savings and payback times given are indicative.
