Devon individuals and organisations were very well represented at the Regen SW Green Energy Awards held in November. 11 of the 20 shortlisted entries were from the county, with winners in three categories.

Runners up: Swindon Borough Council, Torridge District Council (Devon)
Best Sustainable Energy Community
Winner 2008: Bovey Climate Action (Devon)
Runner up: Randwick Village Hall
Best Small Renewable Energy Scheme (below 100 kW) (All from Devon!)
Winner 2008: Okehampton Business Centre
Runners up: The Rolle Estate Office at Clinton Devon Estates, Woolsery Village Hall
Best Large Renewable Energy Scheme
Winner 2008: Wessex Water, advanced digestion system
Runners up: CLP Wind Farm at Roskrow Barton, Kernock biomass plant
Best Housing Scheme
Winner 2008: Ecos Homes, Stawell development
Runner up: 9 Haystone Place, Plymouth (Devon)
South West Sustainable Energy Champion
Winner 2008: Kate Hall
Runners up: Keith Wheaton-Green, Melanie Sealey (Devon)
