"Thank you very much for the very comprehensive info and advice. It is really useful to see the ideas that were rattling around in my head, plus some more, laid out in a thoroughly logical and easily understood way; and with approximate costs as well. As a result, at least we think we know where we're going now."
"....many thanks for the gen you sent. It's exactly the help I need."

Why consider installing renewable energy systems?

  • Cost savings
  • Reduce your climate change impact
  • Generate income from selling surplus
  • Security of energy supply
  • Great for off-gas and off-grid properties

If you would like to receive advice on the options for renewable energy at your home please call 0800 512 012, where an impartial advisor from the Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre will be able to help you. They can give you free advice on the different renewable technologies and help you assess whether any energy efficiency improvements need to be made before you install renewable energy systems.

They will then be able to refer you to the RE4D specialist renewables advisor for further technical advice on your property if required. RE4D can currently offer up to one hour free desk-based support. After that we will charge an hourly rate to cover staff time on your enquiry, this can be desk-based or include a site visit if required.

What we can do for householders:

  • Compare different heating systems
  • Advise on optimum boiler sizes
  • Assess your site for potential renewable energy options using architects plans
  • Help you decide on the best system
  • Estimate your potential generation
  • Calculate expected carbon and financial savings
  • Calculate expected FIT and RHI payback
  • Produce and present a bespoke report via PDF or hard copy
  • Advise on reliable local installers (including making direct referrals when requested)
  • Basic wind speed assessments using available wind speed data for your local area*
  • Tell you when we think something is not suitable
  • Be honest, impartial and objective in our recommendations
  • Offer basic planning and building regulation requirement advice

 * This is a desk-based study and should not be used as an alternative to a full feasibility study with an anemometer and on site data collection (which is availabel through several local companies). We take wind resource assessments very seriously because location is crucial factor in the performance of wind turbines. If you are considering a wind turbine please contact us for advice
