On 26th March 2008 Somerset, Devon and Dorset came together to hold the Three Counties Micro-hydro Confernce at Taunton racecourse. The event targeted mill owners across the region and included an exhbition and presentations from the Environment Agency, British Hydropower Association, Renewable Energy Association, Hydro Generation, South Somerset DC, Somerset County Council, Scottish and Southern Energy, Triodos Bank and four local hydro-power groups.
